I'm a senior lecturer in philosophy at Uppsala University in Sweden. I’m also a docent there, though I still don’t quite know what that means. I work on aesthetics, imagination, philosophy of mind, and feminist philosophy.
Before moving to Uppsala, I was a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellow at the Centre for Philosophical Psychology at the University of Antwerp. I've also worked in Auburn (AL, USA), Porto Alegre (Brazil) and Leeds (UK). My PhD is from the University of Miami (FL, USA); my MA, the University of Sheffield (UK); my BSc, the University of Bristol (UK). I grew up in North-East England.
I dislike all photos of myself, but you can find one on my staff page if you really care. I have variously been described as looking like “a bedraggled Afghan hound” and “the ugliest girl I’ve ever seen” (by a child in an Alabama supermarket).
